Baku/16.02.22/Turan: The Main Department of the Traffic Police  (MDTP) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan has published statistics on road accidents committed by female drivers. Last year, 84,381 female drivers were issued electronic judgments for speeding.

Administrative penalties were also issued against 5,494 female drivers who drove cars without wearing seat belts, 1,393 for violating the rules for crossing intersections, and 1,257 for driving at traffic lights and other prohibitory signs.

Twenty eight traffic accidents were committed by women, as a result of which 17 people died, another 18 were injured. At the same time, compared with 2020, the number of women who received a driving license increased by 67 percent. —05d06
