Union of Journalists awards prizes named after Hasan Zardabi for 2016
The Secretariat of the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan held on Wednesday the ceremony of awarding the winners Hasan bey Zardabi Award for this year. According to head of the Journalists' Union Elchin Shikhli, this is traditional award for achievements in various fields. Among the winners of this year are not only the journalists of print and electronic, but also experts and employees of press services.
So, artexpert Ulker Aliyeva was awarded the prize for scientific research in the field of culture; Irina Kalashnikova ( "News of Ganja") for her merits in the development of the regional press; journalist Zohra Askerova - for the book "Historical Memory and falsified history"; Sadiq Gezalov (MIA press service) - to work in public relations; Alasgar Mammadli - for research in the field of media rights; Rashad Mammadov (TV Sheki) - for supporting the development of regional television; Hatira Rahimli (military journalist) - for war stories. Among the award-winners is the author of the newspaper "Azadlig" Zumrud Yagmur, author and presenter of the program "Besh Barmag" on ANS channel Ulvira Garayev; editor of the magazine "Fashion Passage" Narmina Agasi, officer of the "Xalq Qazeti" Vagif Bayramov, the founder of the radio "Media FM" Tural Aliyev. The award ceremony will be held on July 20 at 14:00 in the hotel "Europe". Zardabi Award is presented annually for many years for achievements in the field of journalist and is the most not biased prestigious award.
In her speech Zumrud Yagmur in said that she accepted the award on behalf of the journalists and bloggers, who are now in custody and in prisons. -27D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
