Indicators of Purchasing Power Grow Due to Devaluation of AZN
In view of the two-time devaluation of the national currency the purchasing power of the population of Azerbaijan has increased 1.9%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, by 1 July the country's population acquired consumer goods in the amount of 13 billion 804.4 million AZN. The proportion of non-food items was 50.81%, or 7 billion 13.8 million. The remaining money was spent on food.
The share of public services was 3 billion 387.4 million AZN (+ 1.2%), three quarters of which came from legal entities. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s state-owned electricity producer, Azerenergy, is advancing the construction of six hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts as part of the country’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity. The plants, with a combined capacity of 37.5 megawatts (MW), are expected to be commissioned in the first half of 2025, according to the company.
