Licensing business activity will be electronic
The head of state signed a decree "On some measures in the area of increasing transparency in the provision of public services, residence registration and electronic licensing procedures." The first stage envisages the provision of licenses and "Mark of Excellence" for the providing taxi services for passengers in a car through the «ASAN Xidmet», in which the Ministry of Transport is engaged.
Ministry of economy and industry will develop, together with the State Agency of Human Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan Republic Portal "E-License". Through this platform it is planned to provide an electronic form of special permits (licenses), certificates and other documents required for business purposes.
Licensing and bringing to taxation of taxi faced problems. At the same time the taxi drivers claim that the Ministry of Transport inspectors demand in addition to the Distinction Sign (a document confirming the payment of simplified tax) the extortion. In the press and on television often appear articles and stories about how the road became a place of confrontation between the inspectors of the Ministry of Transport and taxi drivers. In some cases there was physical abuse by drivers.
It is noteworthy that in neighboring Georgia, a taxi service by the car is not licensed and are not attracted to the tax. Therefore, despite the fact that the cost of fuel in this country is slightly higher than in Azerbaijan taxi services are much lower. --08D--
