Azerbaijan Did Not Negotiate Purchase of Ball Missile System Defense Ministry
Baku / 06.12.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan did not negotiate the purchase of the Russian Ball missile system. The representative of the Ministry of Defense told Turan about it, commenting on reports of Russian sources on December 5.
The day before, the Russian media spread information about the failure of the contract for the supply of the coastal missile system Ball to Azerbaijan. It was alleged that the Russian Defense Ministry did not endorse the contract allegedly because of the possible threats of the presence of the Ball system to the Russian flotilla in the Caspian Sea and the likelihood of using these missiles in the Karabakh conflict.
At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan noted that in order to ensure security in the national sector of the Caspian Sea, Baku uses advanced defense and missile systems purchased from various countries. -06D--
