Azerbaijan will take necessary steps if Armenia does not withdraw its forces from Karabakh - I.Aliyev/UPDATED/
Baku/08.11.22/Turan: Revanchist forces are rising in Armenia, there are forces that do not want to come to terms with the outcome of the war. Armenia does not fully comply with the agreements of November 10, 2020, has not fully withdrawn its armed forces from Karabakh, has not opened the Zangezur corridor. This was stated by the head of state Ilham Aliyev, speaking on November 8 in Shusha.
For this reason, Azerbaijan is strengthening its army, which is ready to fulfill any task at any time. Over the past two years, the size of the army has been increased, new types of weapons have been acquired.
“Today's army of Azerbaijan is stronger than the one that was two years ago, and Armenia and everyone else should understand this. Operations "Farrukh", "Revenge", the fighting on September 13-14 on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border - all this should be a lesson for Armenia. Let them forget about Karabakh, this is our land. Russian peacekeepers are there temporarily, the period of their stay is indicated in the statement dated November 10,”- Aliyev said.
He noted that Armenia has not fulfilled its obligation to withdraw its armed forces from Karabakh. “Our patience is not unlimited, and I want to warn again that if this obligation is not fulfilled, Azerbaijan will take the necessary steps,” Aliyev said.
“Armenia undertook the obligation on the Zangezur corridor. For two years we have not touched the cars going from Armenia to Karabakh and back along the Lachin road. We leave free movement. Armenia also undertook to provide road communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Two years have passed, there is no feasibility study, there is no traffic, no railway, no highway. How long do we have to wait?” he continued.
Then he attacked Iran, threatening to respond to unfriendly actions near the borders of Azerbaijan. “Our Army has shown heroism, professionalism and dedication, and those who conduct military exercises in support of Armenia on our border should know this as well. No one can scare us."
Armenia should not drag out time and wait for some miracle that someone will come and fight instead of her.
“We want peace, we don't want war, our terms are fair and the peace treaty must be signed on these terms. If Armenia shows good will, then peace will be signed, and if not, then no. Life will show what will happen next,” Ilham Aliyev said in conclusion. -0-
