Embassies of Western countries are informed about pressure on the members of Musavat party
Baku / 05.12.18 / Turan: On Wednesday, the head of the Musavat party, Arif Hajili, had a meeting with the British ambassador, Carol Crofts.
According to the press-service of the Musavat Party, the sides discussed issues of growing pressure on the Musavat Party, attacks on freedom of speech and expression, the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, as well as cooperation between the party and the British Embassy.
This week Hajili has met also with a representative of the US Embassy.
In recent weeks, the head of the Musavat youth organization, Abulfaz Sadigbeyli, was arrested and criminal charges were brought against Mustafa Hajibeyli, the head of the Musavat press service and editor-in-chief of the bastainfo.com website. -06D--
