Kvirikashvili Excludes Participation of Georgian Side in Afgan Mukhtarly Case
Baku / 06.06.17 / Turan: "Participation of Georgian state agencies in the incident with Afgan Mukhtarly is absolutely out of the question," Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili stated, commenting on the case of the Azerbaijani journalist.
According to him, it is very important for the country to maintain the democratic standards, development and improvement of which are achieved with great difficulty.
"As is known, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is investigating this very unfortunate incident. It is very important for our country to maintain the democratic standards and development, the improvement of which we have achieved as a result of great work. The person in question is under arrest. Let's see how the investigation will develop. I can say one thing, the participation of Georgian state structures in this incident is absolutely out of the question," the Prime Minister said.
At the same time, Kvirikashvili did not explain who and how could kidnap a person in the center of Tbilisi and transport him without documents across the border to Azerbaijan. -02D-
