Musavat Condemns Murder of Boris Nemtsov
Musavat strongly condemned the killing of one of the leaders of the Russian opposition Boris Nemtsov in Moscow.
In a statement, the party said that Nemtsov was one of the outstanding personalities of the democratic movement of the Russian Federation. He gave great importance to cooperation of leading democratic forces of post-Soviet space, including the party Musavat.
"The murder of Nemtsov, one of the main opponents of Putin, was a serious blow to democracy not only in Russia, but throughout the world," the statement said.
Musavat expresses its support and solidarity with the democratic forces in Russia, and in this difficult time encourages them to take more decisive struggle for their goals.
In conclusion, the party expressed condolences to the colleagues and friends of the deceased, as well as the requirement to find and punish the masterminds and perpetrators of the crime. -05D-
