Russian Foreign Ministry on Upcoming Visit of Sergey Lavrov to Azerbaijan
Moscow / 29.11.19 / Turan: In accordance with the agreement, on December 2-3, Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov will pay an official visit to Baku. The program of the visit includes meetings with President of Azerbaijan I. Aliyev and with Foreign Minister E. Mammadyarov. This was announced at a briefing in Moscow by the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
The dialogue will continue on key issues in the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It is planned to sign the Consultation Plan of the foreign affairs agencies for 2020, she added.
During the talks, the Foreign Ministers will consider a wide range of issues of interaction within the CIS, UN, OSCE, Non-Aligned Movement, Council of Europe, BSEC, and other international venues. The sides will also focus on regional security issues, including the prospects for a Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, Zakharova said. -02D-

Elvin Zeynalov, a religious activist living in the village of Mashtaga, was detained on January 31 around noon by individuals in plain clothes outside a store near his home.
