According to the official report, Alexander Sergeyev said the reason for his visit is the desire to restore scientific ties with Azerbaijan after their break due to the collapse of the USSR.
Ilham Aliyev welcomed such efforts, noting the benefits of cooperation between scientists of the two countries, as well as the achievements of Russian scientists in recent years.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for future cooperation. -02D-
