Statements of Armenian Authorities Hamper Peace Talks - Mammadyarov
Baku / 08.03.19 / Turan: Recent statements by the Armenian leadership have a negative impact on the state of the negotiation process on the Karabakh settlement. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov at a meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, Mammadyarov reminded the position of the international community that the occupied territories should be released, and the displaced people should return to their homes. Only this can guarantee a long-term and sustainable peace, the Minister said.
In his turn, T. Klaar stressed the importance of the substance of the negotiations and noted the readiness of the Union to contribute to preparation of the populations for peace. -02D-
