Lawyer on Mehman Huseynov's State of Health
Baku / 08.01.18 / Turan: On 7 January, the lawyer Shahla Humbatova visited the blogger Mehman Huseynov in Baku Detention Center 1. Mehman has been on hunger strike since December 26 to protest against bringing a new charge against him.
Following the visit, the lawyer issued a statement to the press.
"Today I met with Mehman Huseynov. He was not transferred to a medical institution and is still kept in Baku Detention Center 1. Representatives of the Ombudsman"s office and a doctor met with him. Mehman said that because of the pain that had started in his stomach, he began to take milk and liquid dairy products," said Humbatova. -0-
