Minister: Number of Places in Universities According to State Order to Increase
Baku / 15.02.19 / Turan: The number of places in the country's universities, for which students are accepted by the state order in 2019/2020, may be increased by about 65 percent.
This was said by Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
If in the past academic year, under the state order, 12,324 students were admitted to universities, in the next academic year the number of places for this category is expected to increase to 20,500.
The corresponding document has been submitted to the Ministry of Education in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Bayramov noted that "this positive trend will continue in future years."
The purpose of increasing places under the state order is to provide and expand opportunities for higher education for young people in various specialties at the expense of public funds.
The opportunity to study at the expense of public funds is obtained by applicants who have scored the most points on the entrance exams. -06D--
