Musavat Activist Sentenced to 25 Days of Administrative Arrest
Baku / 23.01.19 / Turan: An activist of the Musavat party, a former "prisoner of conscience" Elvin Abdullayev, was taken away from his apartment to the 36th police station of the Khatai district police department on January 22 around 19.00.
This was reported by the activist's mother Zulfiya Abdullayeva. According to her, on January 23 her son appeared before the court.
"I don"t understand why Elvin was detained. It is said that he led propaganda in connection with the January 19 rally. But the rally was agreed with the leadership of Baku, and there was nothing illegal there," Z. Abdullayeva said.
By the decision of the Khatai Court E. Abdullayev, was sentenced to 25 days of administrative arrest. He was charged with the actions provided for in Article 535.1 (not subordinating to the lawful demands of the police) of the Administrative Offenses Code. -06D--
