Baku / 12.07.18 / Turan: Two PFPA activists were detained and arrested in administrative order. As reported by PFPA, one of the detained is a member of the Kazakh branch of the party, Tahir Mustafayev, whom the police detained on June 10. During the day, no information was released about him.
Only today, on July 11, relatives of Mustafayev managed to find out that by the decision of the district court he was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. The arrest was motivated by the activist's insubordination to the lawful demand of the police.
Another member of PFPA was arrested by the decision of the Lankaran court.
According to PFPA, relatives of Ramin Ahmadov were invited to the 7th police station of the Binagadi district of Baku on July 9. The activist's father, brother, father-in-law and brother-in-law were detained by the police and released only after Ramin Ahmadov came to the police station.
PFPA stated that Ramin Ahmadov was sent to Lankaran on June 10 at the place of registration, and the district court sentenced him to 25 days of administrative arrest. He was also accused of not obeying the lawful demands of the police.
PFPA members said there was no reason for their arrest, and this was due to their political activities.
Turan did not manage to receive comments from the corresponding bodies. The country's leadership always declares that no one is arrested for political reasons in Azerbaijan. -0-
