Arrests and detentions of Musavat activists in the regions (updated)
Baku / 19.10.19 / Turan: The chair of the Kurdamir district organization of the Musavat party, Baha Mikailov, was arrested by the court in an administrative order for 15 days, according to the head of the press service of Mustafa Hajibayli. The reason of detention is not reported.
The head of the Mingachevir city organization of "Musavat" Agagusen Mahmudbeyli, the head of the Khachmaz organization Ramazan Aliyev and the chair of the Shirvan organization Saday Hajili were also detained, Hajibeyli said.
Several more Musavat members were detained in Shirvan. In Sabirabad, a member of the Mejlis of Musavat, an employee of the Basta publication, Azer Ismail, and in Sheki, the party"s activist, Bakykhan Garibli , were detained. The party is convinced that the arrests and detentions is becauise of the opposition rally scheduled for Saturday. -06D--

Musavat activist detained in Kurdamir
Baku / 18.10.19 / Turan: The chair of the Kurdamir district organization of the Musavat party, Bakha Mikailov, was detained today when he was heading to Baku, announced the head of the press service of Musavat Mustafa Hajibeyli.
According to him, Mikailov was dropped off the bus and taken to the Kurdamir district police department.
The party believes that Mikailov was detained in connection with a Saturday rally in Baku.
It was not possible to get comments from the Kurdamir police. - 05D06-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
