In Baku, where Rasulzadeh’s political life took place, to erect memorial plaques on the buildings where the editorial board of the Azerbaijan newspaper and the headquarters of the Musavat party were located, the apartment in which Rasulzadeh lived at 59 Nizami St.
He left this apartment in 1920, saying goodbye to his family, and never returned there again. Some members of his family were shot, while others were deported to Central Asia.
The initiative group notes that in Baku there are house-museums of Nariman Narimanov, Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, Jafar Jabbarly, Samed Vurgun, and Abdullah Shaig. Monuments have been erected for Bul-Bul, Sattar Bahlulzadeh, Azim Azimzadeh and other prominent Azerbaijanis, but there is no monument or house-museum of Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh.
