Journalist Released from Police Station
Baku / 05/18/19 / Turan: Detained on Saturday while covering a protest of residents of the Sovetskaya territory, the correspondent of Internet television Kanal 13 Nurlan Libre (Nurlan Gahramanli) was later released from the police.
He told Turan that after the arrest, he was taken to the 26th department of the Yasamal district police department and released half an hour later.
"They said that since other journalists on the territory were women, they only detained me. After writing down my personal data, they let me go," the journalist said.
A group of residents held a rally in protest against unfair compensation for the demolition of their houses. -21B-
