Peskov said there is no alternative to the trilateral agreements on Karabakh
Baku/02.05.23/Turan: Commenting on the meeting of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted: "Of course, any assistance that can help the settlement on this basis, it can be welcomed. But we also know that there are various attempts that blur the basis for a settlement, which in the future may not yield results. Let's hope that in this case thevtalk is about the first case."
According to TASS, Peskov noted that assistance in resolving the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan can be welcomed, but only on the basis of trilateral agreements concluded together with the Russian Federation, there is no alternative to them.
"The solution of the existing problems between the two countries and the possible elaboration of some joint actions and steps aimed at reducing tensions in the region are primarily possible on the basis of trilateral documents that were signed together with Russia. So far, there are no other legal bases that would contribute to the settlement. Accordingly, so far these trilateral documents are absolutely no alternative," the Kremlin representative said.
