Confrontation between Yerevan and Karabakh intensifying
Baku/23.05.23/Turan: After the night ultimatum of the "parliament" of Karabakh, which condemned and rejected the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the recognition of Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan, nearly all separatist leaders opposed Yerevan.
Thus, the third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the former "presidents" of Karabakh Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan also condemned Pashinyan's statements and rejected the possibility of their implementation.
In a joint statement, former separatist leaders Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan called the policy of the Armenian authorities "unacceptable".
"No one has the moral right to decide our future and the future of our children. Artsakh has not accepted and will not accept the approaches that were presented on May 22 by the Prime Minister of Armenia, and as it fought before, it will fight now with all possible means for the right to live with dignity in its homeland," their statement reads.
In addition, Pashinyan's position was condemned by the "head of the parliament" of Karabakh Artur Tovmasyan. He called on the Armenians of the whole world, as well as the Armenian public, to support the "unshakable and resolute will of the Karabakh Armenians to live."
A similar statement was also made by the former "state minister" of Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan.
Note that the current separatist leader Araik Harutyunyan is also expected to make similar statements in the near future. -02D-
