Order of the head of state on the development of Azerbaijani cinema
Baku /01.03.19/Turan: On March 1, the head of state signed a decree on measures to develop Azerbaijani cinema.
The Ministry of Culture has been instructed to prepare and submit to the President of the country a draft "Concept for the development of Azerbaijani cinematography" taking into account the proposals of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan and other related organizations within three months.
At the same time, AZN 5 million was allocated from the presidential reserve fund to support film production and implement projects of young filmmakers.
The previously well-known screenwriter and head of the Union of Cinematographers Rustam Ibrahimbayov wrote in writing to the head of state with a call to change the attitude towards national cinema and support this area.
The result of this appeal became an invitation of Ibrahimbayov from Moscow to Baku, and the promises to solve the creative and other problems of the Union of Cinematographers. -02D-
