Shirin Melikov, a the new director of the Carpet Museum
Shirin Melikova was appointed a director of Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. Today, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev presented her to the staff.
On 1999 Melikova graduated from the University of Culture and Arts with a degree in art history. In 2001, she received a master's degree in the history and theory of art. She taught at the State Academy of Art.
Since 2011, she worked as an expert at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was the organizer of exhibitions, festivals and other cultural events in the various countries of the Foundation.
She is the author of 10 books and 40 scientific articles about Azerbaijani artists. —06D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality.
