Motorists Insured in Azerbaijan to Be Able to Move Freely Across European Economic Area Soon
From April 1 motorists of Azerbaijan will be able, being insured under the Green Card, to freely cross the European Economic Area.
As stated in the report of the Compulsory Insurance Bureau (CIB), a letter with the notification was received from the International Association of National Motor Insurance Bureaus.
The list includes Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, Iran, Moldova, Ukraine, Tunisia, Andorra, Albania and Morocco.
Due to the fact that Azerbaijan has no bilateral agreements under the Green Card with Israel, Russia and Belarus, local motorists need to purchase insurance at the entrance to the border. This also applies to motorists of these three countries when entering the territory of Azerbaijan. --17D-
