SOCAR Launched Legal Registration of Purchase of Assets of EWE A.G. in Turkey

Slovakia will veto financial assistance from the European Union, stop selling electricity to Ukraine, and limit aid to Ukrainian refugees if Kyiv does not resume the transit of Russian gas, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated  during a meeting of the parliamentary economic committee on January 28. Fico called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about Ukraine's readiness for possible Azerbaijani gas transit to Europe a cover maneuver to avoid retaliatory measures.

The European Commission denied a report by Financial Times about discussions within the European Union regarding the potential resumption of Russian pipeline gas supplies to the EU as part of a settlement of the situation in Ukraine.

The annual transit of Kazakh oil from the “Kashagan” field through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline will amount to 240,000 tons, the press service of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
