Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the latest statements of the Prime Minister of Armenia
Baku / 13.02.19 / Turan: "It is not about the" aggressive rhetoric "of Azerbaijan, but about the aggressive actions of Armenia," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Leyla Abdullayeva, commenting on the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Azerbaijan uses "aggressive rhetoric" , prepares people not for peace, but for war.
Despite the occupation of 20% of Azerbaijan"s territories and the presence of a million internally displaced persons, Azerbaijan is negotiating with Armenia for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. "The settlement of the conflict will bring peace and development to the region. The sooner the Armenian Prime Minister understands this, specifically what benefit his country will have from the settlement, the sooner he can realize the "economic revolution" promised to the population of Armenia, said Abdullayeva.
She called on the Prime Minister of Armenia not to aggravate the situation with her statements, but to create a basis for negotiations, as it is said in the latest statements of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
"Nagorno-Karabakh and the adjacent areas are an integral part of Azerbaijan, recognized internationally and currently under occupation by the Armenian armed forces, and the entire international community recognizes the members of the Armenian community living there as citizens of Azerbaijan," Abdullayeva continued.-06D-
