Health Ministry MOH on measures against measles
Baku / 29.01.19 / Turan: As a result of large-scale preventive measures carried out in Azerbaijan, since 2013 there has not been a single case of measles in the country, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.
However, after the spread of the disease in 2018 in many European countries, including in neighboring Georgia, at the end of the last year, cases of diseases were also recorded in Azerbaijan.
Persons aged between 20 and 40 years old, as well as unvaccinated measles vaccine, were ill.
To prevent the spread of the disease, the Ministry of Health is taking measures to fully cover vaccination of children, as well as those who were not immunized.
For this the ministry will purchase 160,000 doses of vaccines.
The Ministry of Health keeps the epidemiological situation on measles under control, the report says. -05B06--
