ICRC Assists in Evacuation of Human Body from Line of Contact of Troops
Baku / 16.08.18 / Turan: With the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, on August 15, a body of a resident of Azerbaijan was handed over to the Azerbaijani side.
The body was discovered on August 12 in a neutral zone between Azerbaijani and Armenian positions in the Agdam direction of the front. This was reported by representatives of the separatist regime, Armenian media reported.
The State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of Azerbaijan has not yet made a statement in connection with this information.
The ICRC's Baku office in turn confirmed to Turan that representatives of this organization supported the evacuation of the human body near the contact line of the troops in close coordination with the office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
The operation was carried out with the consent of the relevant authorities. -05D06--
