The development of the regions of Azerbaijan, the problem with drinking water, and the forest pollution are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the development of the country's regions, as a result of the state program implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The first such program was adopted in 2004. Over the past 16 years, areas have changed significantly. Between 2014 and 2018, a total of 24.2 billion manat was allocated for the development of regions. Through over 400 presidential decrees, the allocated 2.8 billion manat played a decisive role in the socio-economic development of the regions.
The website Sputnik.az writes about problems with drinking water in the village of Kechasker, Agstafa district, where for over 25 years, residents have not been able to find water for either drinking or irrigation.
Since 1988, in this village there was an artesian well on the farm. However, then the farm was privatized and the well destroyed.
The chairman of the local municipality believes that this problem cannot be solved either at the village level or at the district level.
The website Oxu.az writes about the problem of forest pollution. We are talking about the popular Gachrash forest in the Guba district. Visitors pollute the forest with household waste. Owners of tourist facilities clean only their own territory. Experts believe that it is municipalities that should monitor and maintain cleanliness. -0--
