Mingachevir Resident Arrested for Treason
Baku / 11.02.19 / Turan: The State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan detained Mingechevir city resident Anar Alakbarov on suspicion of treason.
The State Security Service reports that in March 2016, Anar Alakbarov was abroad, where he was attracted by secret services of some country to secret cooperation for money. He was instructed to collect information about the citizens of Azerbaijan who have trade relations abroad and bring them into contact with the special services under the guise of business relations.
He was also instructed to collect information on employees of the special services of Azerbaijan, representatives of a number of foreign embassies in Azerbaijan, and military units.
