The football club Gabala on July 9 at the home field by beating Dynamo from Tbilisi with a score of 2: 0 joined the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

In addition, after the game they burned the Azerbaijani flag and beat four Azerbaijani fans. FC Dynamo has apologized for the incident, and the prime minister of this country ordered to investigate the attack on the Azerbaijani fans.
In response, the fans of Gabala did not remain in debt during the response match.
In the first half, the fans raised placards with slogans in English "Borchali - ancient Azerbaijani land", "Sarvan - not Marneuli," "Bostandere - not Rustavi", "Garatepe – not Gardabani" as well as a map showing these areas within Azerbaijan.
However, the police intervened and seized the posters and the map.
In the second half the Georgian flag was burned.

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has already announced the names of the leading candidates on its website.
