Information about bombing Iraq from Azerbaijan is false
Baku/24.08.19/Turan: Allegations that Israeli drones from Azerbaijan attack targets in Iraq are misinformation, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
A similar statement was made two days ago by Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of the al-Hashd al-Shaabi group, controlled by Assad"s regime.
According to him, four Israeli drones, allegedly stationed there by the Americans, are bombing Iraq from the territory of Azerbaijan. Muhandis also claimed that the Iraqi side has all the data on the takeoffs, landings and operations of Israeli drones based in Azerbaijan.
However, he did not explain how drones could fly from Azerbaijan to Iraq through Iran.
In turn, Israel admitted that its forces carried out several attacks on the bases of pro-Iranian military groups in Iraq.
As for the Khashd al-Shaabi coalition, these are 40 combined Shiite, Yezidi and Christian groups fighting on the side of the Iraqi government.
The coalition is sponsored by the Government of Iraq and the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis himself is recognized as a terrorist in the United States. -02D-
