Border Service Denies Reports of Border Crossing Restrictions
Baku / 28.02.20 / Turan: Media reports about restrictions on crossing the borders of Azerbaijan do not correspond to reality, the state border service said on February 28.
According to the same source, citizens, as well as passenger and freight vehicles cross borders without any restrictions.
At the same time, border crossings are operating under heavy duty. Necessary measures have been taken to prevent the corona virus.
It should be noted that earlier the Minister of Health of Georgia informed about the two-week closure of the border with Azerbaijan.
This happened after the corona virus was detected in a citizen of this country who arrived from Iran through Azerbaijan.
Iranian media also announced the closure of its borders with neighboring countries and let in only Iranian citizens.
At the same time, citizens of neighboring countries are being released from Iran.
The border of Turkey with Nakhchivan was closed for several days, which was open only on February 26.-16D-
