French Court Overturns �Agreement� between Arnuville and Karabakh Separatists
Baku / 05.06.19 / Turan: The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan welcomed the decision of the Sergi-Pontoise Administrative Court on the abolition of the "agreement" of October 22, 2018 between the French city of Arnuville and one of the administrative regions of the occupied Khojavand region of Azerbaijan.
The court ruled that the agreement between the head of Arnuville Pascal Doll and the head of the separatists of the Khojavend district is illegal, has no legal force and is contrary to the international obligations of France.
The lawsuit against the mayor of Arnuville was filed by the French government in connection with the violation of the article of the law on cooperation with the regions of countries.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the military occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan, obstructing the return to their homes of forcibly evicted hundreds of thousands of people, carrying out illegal economic and other activities in the occupied territories are not only a serious threat to sustainable peace and security, but a violation of international law.
"Armenians living in France, as well as in other parts of the world, should understand that the future development of the region, and first of all, Armenia itself, depends on the establishment of normal good-neighborly relations, the termination of aggressive policies and respect for the fundamental principles of international law," the message says. - 06D--
