Lavrov’s Visit to Baku Being Prepared
Baku / 28.11.19 / Turan: On November 27, Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan Yuri Rudenko and Khalaf Khalafov held consultations in Moscow. “The parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral, regional and international agenda, including upcoming contacts at the highest and high levels,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
According to unofficial sources, the parties discussed the details of the upcoming visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Baku next week. -02D-

On February 3, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan annulled the results of the municipal elections held on January 29 at six polling stations. In particular, the voting results were declared invalid due to violations identified at polling stations NN: 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 in the 81st Imishli constituency.

The opposition party “Musavat” has demanded the release of all political prisoners and stated that the authorities are responsible for their health conditions, it was announced at a meeting of the party's Executive Board (Divan) on Monday. “Musavat” expressed concern over reports of health problems among many political prisoners, including civil society activists Anar Mamedli and Alekser Mamedli.
