Meeting of Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia
Baku / 06.03.20 / Turan: On March 5, negotiations between the military delegations of Azerbaijan and Georgia led by the Defense Ministers of the two countries were held in Baku.
Zakir Hasanov and Irakli Garibashvili discussed issues of bilateral military cooperation and security in the region, including the security of economic projects, as well as programs implemented on a bilateral basis, within the framework of NATO and on a trilateral basis in the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia format.
The parties spoke in favor of expanding cooperation and exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening ties in the military, military-technical, military-educational and military-medical fields, conducting joint military exercises, and organizing working meetings. This was stated in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

According to official data, by 5:00 PM on January 29, 28.77% of voters participated in the municipal elections in Azerbaijan, Farid Orujov, a representative of the Central Election Commission reported. According to him, this amounts to 1,715,291 people.

Moscow has noted good progress on the issue of delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told journalists on Wednesday. Russia welcomes the agreements between Yerevan and Baku to begin the delimitation and demarcation process, starting from the point where the borders of the two countries meet with Georgia, moving southward.
