Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to persuade Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to reconsider his country’s course towards closer ties with the European Union, with the two leaders confirming after talks in Bishkek that they remained divided over whether that process was compatible with Yerevan’s membership of the Eurasian Economic Union.
