Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic to visit Baku
Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek will pay official visit to Baku on March 3. According to the Czech Embassy in Azerbaijan, during the talks with Shahin Mustafayev, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan and other members of the government the attention will be focused on further development of economic cooperation. Trade turnover between the two countries in 2014 amounted to EUR 1.5 billion, which is by 23% more than in 2013. Czech Republic buys in Azerbaijan mainly oil, and supplies industrial equipment and consumer goods. Czech banks over the past 10 years have provided loans to Azerbaijan in the amount of $ 1.5 billion. During the official visit will be organized business forum which will be attended by 32 Czech companies and banks. The event was organized by the Foundation for the Promotion of Export and Investments (AZPROMO), established by the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan.
