767 religious communities registered in Azerbaijan
Baku/30.06.17/Turan: The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations announced registration of 7 new religious communities of the country. According to the deputy chairman of the State Committee Sayad Arran, religious communities should "correctly" bring moral and religious values to the society, be far from radicalism and discord. To date, the number of registered religious communities in the country is 767. Of these, 739 are Muslim, 17 are Christian, 8 are Jewish, one is Krishna and two are Baha'i. -05D-
