On 15 July the staff of the western regional branch of the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry carried out an anti-drug operation in region of Balakan of the country. According to the Interior Ministry website, a resident of the region Akin Shabanov was arrested in the village of Katekh while selling 315 grams of marijuana. The next day was detained Kamil Mammadov, a resident of the village of Hanifa, who gave A.Shabanov drugs. Mammadov tried to escape from the police, rammed on his car the police car, but police opened fire at the wheels of Mammadov’s car. He was arrested, and 522 grams of marijuana and electronic scales were found in his car. During the operation, in the house of a resident of the region Matlab Yusifov was found 8.42 grams of marihuana.-0-

This year, 22,000 foreign language teachers and an additional 4,000 teachers who were unable to pass certification last year will be involved in the certification process, the director of the state agency for preschool and general education, Eshgi Bagirov, announced on February 12.
