There are no Azerbaijani citizens among the pilgrims who died in Mecca
Since the beginning of the Hajj to Mecca (June 7), several hundred pilgrims have already slipped away from the heat and diseases, according to the Saudi authorities. The exact figure is unknown, according to various media, the number of deaths ranges from 550 to 900 people. Most of the deceased are citizens of Egypt and Jordan. There are no Azerbaijani citizens among the dead, the Office of Muslims of the Caucasus told Turan.
It should be noted that during the Hajj, the air temperature in Mecca exceeded 51 degrees Celsius. The total number of pilgrims from all over the world this year exceeded 2 million people.
