Baku/25.06.22/Turan: In connection with the Day of the Armed Forces, celebrated on June 26, the head of state issued an order to award more than 100 servicemen with orders and medals. Most were awarded posthumously - they are participants in the Second Karabakh War, officers, sergeants and privates.
They were awarded for special merits in the defense and preservation of the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
By another order, two generals of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and another five colonels were awarded the rank of major general. --02D--
