On Level of Experts of Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan
For several years the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan has been operating in Baku. One measure of the depth and quality of these studies are products of the structure.
However, claiming the title of the leading research center, the organization commits gross errors in elementary issues.
For example, on August 3, the press service of the Center informed that on August 19 it would hold a very important event and so it invited all journalists.
The theme is called "The dispute over the Falkland-Malvina Islands and international law."
This announcement demonstrates a lack of basic knowledge about international events at the decision-makers, as well as those who are in charge of public relations.
Representatives of the presidential structures do not know the correct name of the islands, around which a military conflict occurred between Britain and Argentina.
To the remark of Turan IA concerning the errors in the announcement, the spokesman did not find anything better than to accuse us of "aggressive" mood and to say that "she sent out what she was given."
It looks like the staff of the Center for Strategic Studies more often read children's books about Malvina and Pinocchio than international political periodicals. But this is a concern for management of the organization. -02B-
