Baku/19.01.18/Turan: The Minister of Taxes Mikail Jabbarov received the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Sekutu. This was reported by the Ministry of Taxes on January 19. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States. The parties expressed interest in further strengthening and development of cooperation and noted that business relations promote such cooperation. The parties exchanged views on the country's tax environment, existing conditions for foreign investors, as well as on other issues of mutual interest, the report said. -0-

Shamshad Aga, editor of the "Argument.az" website, has been found guilty in the Meydan TV case of smuggling (Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to two months and one day in detention.
