Baku / 22.01.21 / Turan: 280 new cases of coronavirus infection were revealed in Azerbaijan today. At the same time, 632 people were cured, and 11 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers reported on January 22.
In total, 228,526 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan so far, of which 219,019 people have recovered, and 3,064 have died, the number of active patients today is 6,443 people.
Over the past day, 6,144 tests have been carried out in Azerbaijan to detect coronavirus.

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
