Lottery Business "Classified"
The Ministry of Economy issued a report on the activities of the state-run JSC Azerlotereya for 2015. For the first time since 2000, the report lacks information on the results of economic activities of the monopolist in drawing lotteries in Azerbaijan.
In the report there is no information on the number of lottery tickets sold in 2015. The data on merchandise prizes (156 cars), lottery tickets sold through the TOPAZ network (927,000) and online sales (144,600) are given. The purchase of cars was spent over 2 million manats.
JSC Azerlotereya refused to provide information about the results of the lottery business in the crisis in 2015, saying only that the details will be made public only after the completion of the audit.
In 2014 JSC Azerlotereya sold 27,888,818 pieces of draw and instant lotteries. Revenues of the JSC amounted to 29 million 236.7 thousand mantas, including interests on deposits. ----08D

In recent days, there have been claims that bread prices in Azerbaijan have risen. Social media users report that the price of bread has increased by 5-10 qepiks. According to consumer complaints, it is difficult to find weight information on factory-produced bread, commonly known as "zavod çörəyi" in Azerbaijan. In many cases, bread packaging does not include weight details. Similarly, bread sold at smaller bakeries and tandir houses often lacks information apart from the price.

A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers, transport ministers, energy ministers, and heads of customs services of Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan is set to take place soon to discuss the progress of the Rasht-Astara railway project, a key element of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
