Baku / 28.12.18 / Turan: Lawyer Elchin Sadigov could not get a meeting with the activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Fuad Ahmedli, who was put in the punishment cell of Prison No 16 for three days on December 26, the day before, the lawyer himself told Turan News Agency.
"In order to clarify the situation and find out the condition of Fuad Ahmedli, I went to the prison. But they didn't give me a meeting," said the lawyer.
He said he would continue legal procedures to ensure the rights of Ahmedli.

* Fuad Ahmedli was arrested on August 17, 2018, on a false accusation of "violating the norms of the law on operational investigative activities," in particular, the dissemination of personal data of Azerfon mobile users. In addition, he was accused of abuse of office.
On June 16, 2017, Ahmedli was sentenced to 4 years in prison. On August 17, the appellate court upheld the verdict. Ahmedli is recognized as a political prisoner. -03B06-
