Two People Killed by Grenade Explosion in Gandja
On the evening of May 4 at a tea house on the street Elbrus Allahverdiyev in Gandja two people were killed as a result of a grenade explosion. As Turan was told in the press service of the Prosecutor General, an F-1 grenade detonated in the tea house for unknown reasons. As a result, Maharram Ahmedov born in 1972 and his nephew Taleh Ahmedov, born in 1985, died on the spot.
In addition, Ahmedov’s son Nariman (1998) and two other relatives, Orkhan Mirzoyev (1994) and Sadig Ahmedov (1995), received shrapnel wounds of varying degrees and were taken to hospital.
According to preliminary reports, the grenade detonated after Maharram Ahmedov had a conflict with a group of people. However, it is not clear who used the grenade.
The criminal case is under investigation. Judging by the articles (murder with special cruelty and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition), the grenade was used against Maharramov and his relatives. -03 /16D-
