The Ministry of Finance, in its 3 February report on the January state budget figures, presented the State Customs Committee (SCC) as the State Customs Service. This can be regarded as a mistake by the press service of the Ministry or a preparation for the merger of the Committee with the Ministry.
The fact is that recently there have been rumours that the State Customs Committee will be abolished and will function as a service within the Ministry of Finance (at one time the Ministry of Taxes was also abolished and transferred to the Ministry of Economy as a state tax service).
Moreover, on 10 January this year, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov was dismissed from his post, and no one was appointed in his place. The probability remains that the delay in this appointment is due to the upcoming structural reforms in the near future.
