Head of Azerbaijan Railways Meets with DHL Representative in Shanghai
The development and prospects of the Trans-Caspian international transport route (TMTM), which is an integral part of the transport corridor East-West, were discussed in China at the meeting of the Azerbaijan Railways’ head Javid Gurbanov with the head of the Shanghai branch of DHL Allen Chen.
The German company representatives expressed their interest in the implementation of transportation between Asia and Europe, using the corridor passing through Azerbaijan. It was noted that after the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the volume of cargo transportation along the corridor will increase and at the same time reduce the time of delivery of goods between Asia and Europe.
To date, DHL has sent five container trains through the territory of Azerbaijan.
